Embroidery Workshop, open to all levels

4pm-7pm March 14th@ the HERSELF STUDIOS in South Portland

Whether you have embroidered before or this is your first time, this workshop covers the basics, and will be tailored to your project. Learn 3 surface stitches, that function well for embroidery on clothing. Apply these to your own garment, to add personalization & adornment to your existing piece. Embroidery is a code of beeps and blips, alternating to express a likeness or idea. Come translate your imagination into embroidery code and you will be surprised at how your voice appears on fabric.

Class will begin with instruction of three embroidery stitches. I’ll then help you design & apply stitches to your clothes. We’ll sit and stitch together. Light snax and refreshments served. :)

Class includes an embroidery hoop, fabric & materials to get started practicing embroidery. I will also support you via email to choose a garment to bring to class.

40-80 dollars sliding scale, includes floss and embroidery hoops, which you can take home with you. you may also choose to bring your own hoop.
